Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a disease that damages the optic nerve within the eye. The cause of Glaucoma is a build-up of fluid in the front part of the eye. That extra fluid increases pressure damaging the optic nerve.

The pressure that builds can often be painful and also cause the sclera (whites of the eye) to become bloodshot.
